Dave lost his left arm as a teenager when a signal flare, his band were using as a special effect, misfired. In the article, Rachel describes how the prosthetic hand has allowed Dave to work in the film industry and to do things such as use a keyboard, computer and piano, as well as play Jenga with his son. “So far, I haven’t looked back,” Dave commented. “It has really has changed my life and the way I work.”
